Our mission is to build a prototype for alternative living;

an Earth sheltered, reciprocal roofed,
cob, passive solar, low impact home surrounded by abundant sources of food intricately woven into a natural lifestyle.
We will use local materials.
We will build by hand,
using round timbers, rock, and earth.

Phase 2 in progress

About Us

We are a family of five living in a small city of 20,000 people.  We love living among the city life. There are several intentional community minded groups in our town of Carrollton, GA.  And everything we need and want is minutes away.  Our paths are leading us toward a more sustainable way to build our home and live our lives.

Tim  grew up building tree houses and roaming through the woods. "I can remember at 12 being so happy riding my bike down a forest trail wondering how life could get better than this.  Then at 13 the hormones kicked in. Haha!  I've been fortunate to have a wide range of life experiences, from watching my mom and dad build a passive solar home together, to owning a chineese restauraunt with my brother, to refinishing an abandoned 1886 farmhouse.  Now at 40, back in the woods walking trails and building this home with my family has reawakened some of the wonder that living close to nature gives a person."

Rebecca  is passionate about doing her part to reduce the attack on the earth's systems.  Modern life consumes so much energy and we have evolved out of a connection with our environment.  A revolutionary movement is necessary.  We must change the way our food is produced or our bodies will suffer.  We must cull our energy use or find more sustainable ways to provide sources of energy.  And for me, a connection with my environment is necessary for balance in this modern world.

Our three children are ready and excited to finally be free to roam past the "fence".  And the whole family is anxious to get started building our very own low impact reciprocal roofed cob earthship...for lack of a better term.
