There are many ways you can help this project become a success...

Thanks to all our contibutors!!!

1 Come and participate! Donate your time. Don't worry if you have no experience with earth building. You will learn.  We will be working with cob, a fun filled, mud boggin, kind of day(s).

2 $$$ Paypal verified  Although our goal is to stay out of Home Depot and the like, some materials will have to be purchased.  We will strive to buy directly from the manufacturer or local "mom and pop" shops.

3 Donate materials*. This is a great way to help us keep a look out for recycled materials to use. I will keep a materials-to-look-for list updated below.  This is not a shopping list!  We want it used or rescued.
*Drop us an email if you think you have something we might be able to use. Chances are we'll take it.  However, if we don't need it and you bring it anyway, WE have to stop building to dispose of it.   earthinmind.net@gmail.com

Materials we're looking for

~GLASS, sliding glass doors, double insulated glass, old storm windows, clear plastic. All these can be fashioned to fit or made into cold frames in the garden.

~PLASTIC, Earth will be covered in layers of plastic.
Doesn't sound very green?  Plastic can have its place in our world if used properly.  The plastic is our moisture barrier and the key to combatting the dreaded mold.  Plastic buried in Earth is preserved.  The sun is what breaks the plastic down.  Upkeep of the plastic will be minimal, if not zero.

~STONE, any scrap stone tiles or other pavers for interior and the terraced gardens
or any flat stones for paving or big stones for retaining walls and foundation
*big flat stones for foundations under cob and straw clay walls*

~PLANTS, The community green house is complete.  We are searching for soil.  We have local contacts for composted horse manure.  Although it is not organic, it is free.

~CISTERN, metal or food grade plastic, made to be buried

~CORREGATED PLASTIC, or other green house roofing material (double insulated glass, sliding glass doors, old storm windows, clear plastic. All these can be fashioned to fit or made into cold frames in the garden)

~GARDEN SUPPLIES, trays, pots, potting soil, red wigglers, BIG watering can, spray bottles, starter plants, and heirloom seeds

~More to come...

Thanks always to Bill and Jacquelyn for allowing this to take place on thier precious land. We are truly blessed.
